A year of Gecko.
What a huge 365 days. Our first year in business has been a roller coaster to say the least, we were told if we could get through a year like this we could get through anything. Starting in retail in an uncertain time when the rest of the world stops buying ‘stuff’ is a decision we didn’t make lightly. But this is so much bigger than just starting a skate shop, it’s about supporting a community that is so often pushed into the background. Encouraging a generation to embrace their skater roots & holding the hands of a future generation as they find their place in a world that is only just dipping its toes into skateboarding.
We're a small business that would not be where we are without endless support from our family, especially our kids who’ve taken this in their stride & been pivotal in making sure Gecko is a success. We're proud of this online store and the response that it's gained so far, grateful for all of the opportunities that have arisen for us to be able to bring this to you for the past year.
Thanks to our distributors that have been nothing but amazing & supportive, taking a gamble no doubt on supplying a new online store. We appreciate all your help in our first year and can’t wait to fill up a shop with all the incredible products sometime in the future.
